I am swimming deep in motherhood, and trying to find a thousand outlets for all the wonderful material my two little muses fill my soul with everyday.  I write in emotional, energetic bursts and find little time to do much of the large scale painting that fascinates me and satisfies my dramatic side.
The exciting and somewhat new outlet for me is the clothing company my husband and I have started.  It's a sweatshop free, green boy's (and soon to be GIrl's) clothing line that makes us so proud.  We're gearing up for our first season, Fall 2007 and I am deep in the design process for Spring 2008 (I can hardly think of anything else).  Unfortunately, we spend an inordinate amount of time defending our ideals and our inevitably higher price points to our sales team, potential retailers and  our mothers.  We're confident that it'll all be okay, and that green and mainstream can coexist peacefully, but if only such thoughts were contagious.
So where am I?  Chasing my little hurricane around the house or crouching over a sketchbook during the rare, precious moments when he rests.
As of now, I'm low on friends, so please don't hesitate to apply (especially if you're in the DC area)!  Was that plea too pathetic?  So be it.
